Cowls are a quick knit and make fun gifts. They are great for cold
weather to keep necks toasty warm without the bulk of a long scarf.
For this pattern, you will need to know the knit stitch and purl stitch as well as yarn over.
It is constructed in two pieces, with the leaf motif knit flat and the neck area worked in the round after picking up stitches from the leaf pattern.
The pattern consists of 18 repeating rows and it is recommended that you keep track of each row by using a row counter.
I used 2 strands of Mission Falls Worsted Weight yarn for the cowl shown in the photo
Gauge: 3 stitches per inch and 4 rows per inch
I've been knitting all my life and currently spend most of my waking hours thinking about new ways to knit classic accessories. I love to spin my own yarn, learn new knitting techniques and get creative with felted wool.
