The Lafant wrap, decorated with cables & lace is knitted from the bottom up with short row shaping and a picot cast off.
The original is made using fingering weight yarn, but a thicker wrap using a heavier weight yarn would work equally well.
Length is easily adjusted by knitting more or less repeats of the pattern, but yarn requirements will change.
This pattern is both written & charted.
18 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches - not important
I learned to knit at my grandmothers knee aged 6. After many unfinished projects over the years, I finally realised that I didn't like seaming, so almost all of my patterns don't need it. I love to knit in the round, be it socks or sweaters.
