Pattern Description:

This project is a springy and lightweight hat that will whip up fast. It features a scalloped brim, a simple lace repeat, and a sprout on top. The crown is knit solid to protect little heads from the sun. Sizing implies stretching for a snug fit; size up if you prefer a looser fitting cap.


16 sts and 24 rows per 4 inches in Lace Repeat

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Size: Preemie/Newborn(Infant, Toddler, Child/Adult Woman)
  • Finished Circumference: 11(14, 16.5, 19) inches


  • 50(65, 75, 90) yards worsted weight yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Size 9 (5.5mm) 16" circular needles and set of 5 DPNs, stitch marker
