Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • knit through back loop
  • knit 2 together & slip slip knit
  • pass slipped stitch over
  • yarn over

Pattern Description:

This is a simple leaf pattern repeat pattern, using knit through back loop stitch for a bit different finish. Both bottom and top are simple knit rows so they would curl up a little for softer edge. Top will be a little lighter as you will only be pulling Mohair to finish last few rows. It is a very lovely cowl, light and snug around your neck.

You'll be pulling 2 yarns (mohair and sock yarn) together for this pattern.


11 sts x 16 rows = 2 inches x 3 inches
this will equal to one leaf in pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 20 inches around neck x 10 inches


  • 200 yards in silk blend mohair
  • 200 yards in merino wool sock yarn
  • US size 6 circular needle
