Pattern Description:

Inspired by my Knittin' Love shawl worked in a DK-weight cotton, this poncho uses a color-changing cotton in fingering and is a full-circle with lovely drape and movement, showing off the lace hearts and scalloped edging.

Using approx 830 yards of cotton yarn, this poncho is knit in one-piece, in the round, from neck to hem so you'll be done in no time and wearing it all springtime and into the summer.

Directions are charted and round by round.


16sts x 20rnds = 4" stockinette, worked in the round and blocked

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • one size: neck to hem=21", neck diameter=8", hem circumference=144"


  • approx 830 yards fingering weight cotton (sample used a 185gr skein of Wolle's Yarn Creations in "Parrot")
  • US #6 circs - 16- and 32-inch lengths
  • stitch markers (6, one different than the rest for beg of rnd)
