This is one of my fav patterns. It uses a basic cable.You are using the cable 4 times in each repeat of rows 1-10. I did 4 rounds equaling 40 rows. You can stop at anytime and it won't look like you interrupted the cable pattern. You can also change the size easily. It is mentioned. I also give you the cable pattern alone in case you want to change the surrounding stitches.
The surrounding stitches I used was a slip stitch pattern along with a Purl1. This will keep your arm warmer where it should be. It won't turn on you. It's sturdy, it's comfortable, and won't stretch out by taking it off and on over and over again. The perfect combination!

C4B = Slip 1 to cable needle, K3 then K1 from cable needle
