I am a lover of all things earthy and primitive and handmade and vintage. I love to make and do... and I love to try new things and get into new interests. This shop is my forum for sharing these loves with others who have my same varied interests. In this shop, I focus on knitting patterns... some are my original designs, and some are vintage patterns. If you don't see something that you would like, please let me know, and I might be able to find it or make it for you.View all patterns by designer (40) »
I went to see the latest installment of the hottest post-revolutionary movie - with the intent of keeping a close eye on the knitwear of our favorite hunting game player... because I knew it would be awesome! And I was not disappointed. The minute I saw this amazing morph between a chunky cowl and a one-arm vest, I was in love! I decided to make my own version of this concept. I made mine a little more fitted to flatter the figure, and I made the cowl a bit smaller and more wearable. What I love about it is that it is meant to look rough and chunky and a little primitive, so you don't have to have perfect little stitches in order to make it look good. This is a one-size piece that fits a standard Med/Large Women's size top, or a Large/XLarge Junior's size top.
This pattern uses circular knitting needles with a 47" cable - Sizes 8, 19, and 36
There is a little bit of crochet, but don't sweat it... if you can knit... you can figure out the crochet. (In my opinion)
