I love a simple, while elegant, accessory, and Joyeux fits the bill: an easy lace stitch pattern that's ideal for knitters new to triangle shawls and lace. This was a collaboration with Wool Candy a couple of years ago. We designed this shawl and hand dyed/painted yarn for our first kit, inspired by both of our favorite seasons (Fall) and an illustration by one of my favorite artists, Arthur Rackham, "Joy of a Fallen Leaf." The graceful arcs and waves of Joyeux reminds me of Autumn leaves carried by puffs and gusts of Fall winds.
Joyeux is a 12-page pattern, including both written and charted instruction. The pattern includes an optional lace edge, with optional bead placement. This is a fun and fairly quick knit, perfect for year round knitting: use lighter weight silk blends for warm weather and cozier wool and cashmere blends for chilly weather.

I've been making and creating my entire life, and now I make my living with hand dyed yarn and designing knitting patterns. I love my job!
