Pattern Description:

This 8ply Beret style Beanie is worked in an easy block stitch and can be worn several ways. Wear is as a Beret, a slouchy Beanie or turn up the brim to create a firmer fit Beanie. It is worked in the round, so no sewing up required.

22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Pattern sizes: Age 2-5 yrs, 6-10 yrs, Teen and Lady.
  • To fit head: 52 (54-55-56) cm [201/2 (211/4-213/4-22) inches].


  • Yarn required: 1 (1-1-1) ball Creative Basics Esther 8ply, 100g balls@220m.
  • A set of 3.25mm (UK 10, US 4) double-pointed knitting needles OR A 3.25mm (UK 10, US 4) circular knitting needle, 40cm long.
  • A set of 4.00mm (UK 8, US 6) double-pointed knitting needles.
  • A 4.00mm (UK 8, US 6) circular knitting needle, 40cm long - optional.
  • Wool needle for sewing in ends.
