Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knitting in the round
  • Cables
  • Picking up stitches
  • Provisional cast on
  • 3 needle bind off

Pattern Description:

A cabled beanie is a standard piece of knitwear. But who says cables can only go in one direction? The cables on this hat start by twisting around the brim, and then continue up the hat by sliding up towards the crown. While the horizontal brim and vertical body are knit separately, their cables are interwoven together.

Add an extra dimension to your knitting and try knitting Interwoven. Available in three sizes to suit heads large and small, a fantastic and engaging unisex knit.


21 stitches and 34 rows = 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • S [M, L] To fit head: 18" [20/22", 24"]


  • 140 - 300yd of DK weight yarn
  • US 6 / 4mm DPNs and (optional) straight needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Crochet hook
  • Cable needle
  • 5 [6, 7] stitch holders or lengths of waste yarn
  • Waste yarn for provisional CO
  • Yarn needle
