Basic Skills Necessary:
- knitting in the round
- I-cord
- knit
- k1f&b - knit 1 stitch in the front and the back of the loop
- k2tog - knit 2 stitches together
- p2tog - purl 2 stitches together
- ssk - slip 1 stitch as if to knit, slip the next stitch as if to knit; knit both stitches together
Pattern Description:
This is a top-down knitted project beginning with the little I-cord on top. Directions for a Turkish Cast-on are given, but there are great videos on the Internet for this technique as well.
Adjust the length of the hat as you see fit, and if you want the hat larger (circumference), adjust your needle size up.
The hat is soft, warm and seamless!
Gauge:
6.5 stitches and 10.5 rows = 1 inch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- circumference 13 inches
- height 5.75 inches
Materials:
- US Size 0 double pointed needles
- 1 skein Baby sport Weight Yarn (Bernat Baby Jacquard Yarn used)
