About the designer

I live on a smallholding by the sea in the south of New Zealand where I have my own sheep for wool and various other animals. I love designing and knitting - mostly Fair Isle - and playing music.

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should be able to work in the round and to follow written directions.

Pattern Description:

I love the complex colours and textures of Bohus knitting design. These socks give you the Bohus look the easy way. They look complex but there is never more than one colour in a row. They feel lovely with the different textures and the mix of greens and blues change subtly as you knit. More than that, they are a very comfortable and warm sock to wear.
The knitted frill is optional.
Renaissance Dyeing Troubadour that I used for these socks is naturally dyed organic yarn that has a lovely light and shade to it due to the natural dye process.
