Pattern Description:

This is a simple design concept, inspired by the colour progressions in ikat weaving, to show off the colours in a space dyed yarn. This pattern is adaptable to many different yarn weights. The effects will vary considerably from yarn to yarn. This is pleasurable knitting and minimal finishing is required.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • variable

  • Any space dyed yarn may be used: the most dramatic effects will be yielded by yarns with colour sections in excess of 6". A simple yet sophisticated diagonal row scarf will be produced if worked in a solid colour.
  • Choose needles appropriate to the weight of yarn used to give a pleasing soft drape scarf fabric.
