Pattern Description:

Hugin and Munin are the two ravens that belong to the Norse god Odin. They fly all over the world, Midgard and Asgard, and return to Odin and tell him what they have seen.

The Hugin & Munin lace shawl is a top-down shawl with large lace feathers, symbolizing the ravens' wings.
The pattern is charted.


16 stitches and 33 rows = 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • wingspan: 136 cm [54"], height: 52 cm [20.5"]


  • 1 skein fingering weight yarn (approx 430 yds)
  • 3.75 mm [US 5] circular needles
  • stitchmarker
  • blunt, large eyed needle
