Pattern Description:

Helen's Choice ... in a gorgeous deep purple cashmere/silk/merino blend in a fingering weight. This is knit in one piece and completely in the round following the chart OR the written, round-by-round directions.

A fun, graceful knit designed specially for the sister of the cashmere breeder whose goats gave their fiber to create this amazing blend with its great stitch definition.

NOTE: shawl must be blocked to allow lace to fully bloom


16 sts x 26 rnds = 4" stockinette, worked in the round and blocked

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • one size fits most - neck to hem = 13-17 inches; neck diameter = 7 inches


  • approx 570 yards of fingering weight natural fiber blend; sample used 2-1/2 skeins of Spring Gate Farm's cashmere/silk/merino blend
  • stitch markers (8; one should be different to mark beg of rnd)
  • blocking wires, boards to make shawl bloom!
  • US #7 circs - 16- and 40-inch lengths
