Pattern Description:

I have a heart vine plant that my mom gave me. The long dangling vines have grown and reached the floor several times. It moved to the top of our refrigerator allowing it to stretch but soon we(tm)ll need a higher ceiling and some furniture to match! Your heart vine shawl can be made as large as you want it, well at least if you have enough yarn.

Heart vine is a triangular shawl knitted from the neck down. The pattern starts with small diamonds leading up to vines of hearts.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Purple shawl used 2 skeins BC Garn Jaipur silk [100% silk; 328yd/300m per 50g] on 3.5mm (US 4) needles. Gauge: 18 stitches over 10 cm in Diamond Dream pattern. Blocked size is 130 x 55cm (51 x 22 inches).
  • Turqouise shawl iused 1 skein Manos del Uruguay Lace [75% alpaca 20% silk 5% cashmere; 438yd/400m per 50g]on 3.5mm (US 4) needles. Gauge: 20 stitches over 10 cm in Diamond Dream pattern. Blocked size is 140 x 70cm (55 x 22.5 inches).
