Heart Pocket Scarf for Tweens

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cast on
  • pearl
  • knit
  • bind off
  • knit into front and back increase
  • knit 2 together for decrease

Pattern Description:

This scarf pattern was inspired by my 10 year old granddaughter. It is bright and fun and full of love, just like her cast on. Most little girls love hearts. These hearts are pockets that can hold small items and keep hands warm.


Not necessary

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Length should be measured by distance from wrist to wrist outstretched arms
  • Finished project will be approximately 6 inches wide.


  • wool or acryllic yarn
  • size 7 straight knitting needles
  • darning needle
  • crochet hook for weaving in ends
  • stitch holder

Suggested yarn:

465 yards of Worsted weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Red Heart Full O' Sheep 100% peruvian wool


2 skeins poppy red, 1 skein lamb
