Pattern Description:

Need a last minute gift? These darling mitts can be made up in a jiffy. constructed with a simple afterthought thumb- no need to interrupt your fair isle groove. Use up yarn from your stash!

These are made with a worsted weight yarn but I have also used DK weight and even sport weight yarn, which results in slightly different sizing, but still fit an average size hand. You can change the size by using larger or smaller needle sizes.

Gauge:

13 sts in 13 rds = 2" in color work pattern from the chart

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 7 3/4" in circumference and 7 " tall

Materials:

  • 130 yds of worsted weight for the main color and 45 yds for the contrast color.

You Will Also Need:

  • US size 3 (3.25 mm) double pointed needles
  • US size 4 (3.5 mm) double pointed needles
  • stitch markers
  • tapesrty needle
  • a 12" pice of smooth waste yarn in a very differnt color than your MC and CC

175 yards of Worsted weight
