Pattern Description:
An easy, fun accessory project to knit in your favorite sock-weight yarn. A bit of cabling and lace dress up the edge of basic garter stitch, and the simple repeat makes for soothing knitting.
Both one- and two-skein versions of Haven use the same construction technique. Numbers in parentheses indicate varied instructions for the two sizes, i.e.- one-skein (two-skein).
Shawl is knit from side-to-side, starting and ending at the narrowest points.
For two-skein version, it is easy to adjust for different yarn weights or individual knitting style.
Gauge:
20st and 40 rows in garter stitch, before blocking.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- approx. 72 (100)” wingspan, 17 (22)” deep at widest point, after wet-blocking.
Materials:
- yarn: approx. 400 (800) yds fingering weight yarn. needles: size US 5 (3.5mm) 24” circular, or size needed to obtain gauge circular.

- 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle, blocking pins.
