The Ha'Penny Loop is a warm, useful and dramatic cowl. It can be worn as a long scarf, twisted over the head for use as a hood/scarf, and oh, many other ways. The simple 6 stitch repeat gives a 3d effect of one net laid over another, held together by the twisted rib edges.
It's a fast, giant lace done on size US#11 circular needles.
The pattern comes in .pdf form and is 9mgs. The sample used 8 balls of Lana Grossa "Chiara" 50 grams, 190 meters or 74.8 yards, held 4 ends together. A single end of yarn that works on this needle requires about 300 yds.
