Average glam shell shawl  July 20, 2014

I knitted this lovely shawl. I have been knitting for many years and did not find this a difficult shawl to knit. However, my only complaint about this pattern is if you follow the exact instructions, using suggested needle size and yarn, it would be very small. I increased the pattern by several inches and loved the way it turned out. The pattern deserves a 5 rating but do to the fact that it was too small, and I had to make adjustments, I give it a 3 rating.

Excellent Simply lovely!  June 16, 2013

Thank you so much for this pattern. It was my very first attempt in lace knitting and I am extremely pleased I actually completed it (even if it took couple of time to start it ;) Once you start making it, it is quite easy actually and the effect is out of this world! A*** for the pattern:)

Average Glam shell pattern  March 12, 2013

This was my first lace project ever, so you must know, it took me about 6 attempts in the beginning to understand the pattern, and start all over again.
Even though it didn't turn out as big as I would have liked, it's still one of the most proudest thing I've ever made.
I've been showing it off for about 2 days now.

Okay Tiny glam shells  October 15, 2012

This was my first lace project, although i have been knitting constantly for 10 years. I have made everything from socks to cardigans. My favorite pattern source is Interweave Knits.
I used sock yarn, and size 8 needles. My finished project was more like a neck wrap in size. Since there was no gauge given, i did not know how it would turn out til I was done. Also, new lace knitters should know that the pattern does not say, but the WS is purled. That is also not specified.
I realize ...
