Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Cast on, knit, purl, knit 2 together, SSK, YO.

Pattern Description:

This darling lace hat harkens back to the Roaring '20s. It looks fancy but is extremely easy and fun to knit.

The lace pattern is easily memorized, and the knitting goes quickly.
Add the flower, and you'll look like a million bucks!


Sizing is done via yarn weight. Use a bulky weight (3.5 stitches per inch) for an adult/older child, a worsted (5 stitches per inch) for a toddler, and a DK (5.5 stitches per inch) for an infant.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Adult woman/older child, toddler, infant.


  • Sizes 5 and 6 16" circular for infant; size 7 and 8 for young child; sizes 9 and 10.5 for adult Size 4, 5, or 6 double-pointed needles for infant; size 6, 7, or 8 for young child; size 9, 10, or 10.5 for adult. (Double-pointed needle set will be used for decreasing at the top, so exact size doesn't matter.)
