Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cast on and bind off
  • knit and purl
  • knitting through the back loop of a stitch
  • increase using yarn overs
  • but these things can be learned! It's not a hard pattern.

Gauge:

38 sts = and 48 rows = 4"/10 cm in Garter Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Diamond shape, back depth 13"/33 cm long
  • Shawl falls 13"/33 cm down each arm

Materials:

  • Knitting needles: One 24-inch circular needle in a size that results in a relaxed drape with your chosen yarn. The sample uses US 4/3.5 mm.
  • Yarn: About 440 yards of fingering weight; shown in Malabrigo Sock in Persia

You Will Also Need:

  • Stitch markers: 6
  • Yarn needle for sewing in ends
