Pattern Description:
They are forecasting a “la nina” winter, which means different things in different parts of the world. As a Midwesterner, I know that this translates to cold and snow, no matter how they try to spin it.
Whether it’s colder or slightly warmer, or more or less snow, than average, you will be sure to need something to keep your head toasty.
A SUPER quick and easy knit, this makes such a warm hat with adorable cozy earflaps. The ribbing allows for lots of stretch. The childs version shown fits my 1 year old and 4 year old and the adult version fits my head as well as my husband’s.
Gauge:
5 stitches and 7 rows over 2 inches in stockinette stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- includes sizes from child to adult (1-5 years, 5-10+ years, and adult)
Materials:
- size US 15 circular needles for knitting in the round
- 125-150 yards of bulky yarn (held double) or super bulky yarn (held single)
You Will Also Need:
- a stitch marker to mark end of row
- double pointed needles for decrease, although you can also just push/stretch stitches around circular needles (explained in the pattern)
