Pattern Description:

This pattern was published in the Classic Elite Yarns Web-Letter Issue 303 to highlight their Firefly (viscose, linen) yarn:

"Firefly is a warm-weather yarn with a subtle sheen and wonderful hand. The juxtaposition of the linen with a light-catching sheen gives it a distinctly feminine look. Firefly drapes wonderfully at a wide range of gauges - knit loosely for elegant lace or more tightly for stockinette fabrics."

About the pattern (taken from the Issue 303 web-letter):

"I don't have much of a green thumb (in fact, I am pretty sure that all of mine are brown), but with this shawl from Melissa G. Martinez, I can have flowers wrapped around me at all times. This oversized scarf made from Firefly, showcases a daisy motif on a background of stockinette stitch with a garter edge and reverse stockinette detail. And the "wrong" side of this shawl is just as pretty as the right side.

This would make a great transition piece for the early fall that will be upon us shortly. Why not cast on now and get a jump start?"
