Pattern Description:

You might not be standing guard during the night shift on the dock, but this classic Fisherman's Watch Cap will shield you from all sorts of cold or stormy weather. Inspired by the close fitting toques atop the heads of burly fishermen on the high seas, this is a softer, thick ribbed unisex version that folds up to add an extra layer of insulation for your ears.


9 sts and 14 rows = 4 inches/10cm

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Height: 10"/25.5cm (unfolded)
  • Width: 8"/20.25cm (unstretched)
  • Circumference: 16"/40.5cm (unstretched)


  • 1 skein Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn or approx. 106 yds/97m of another super bulky weight yarn (cat. 6)
  • Size 13/9mm double pointed needles
  • Stitch marker or scrap yarn
  • Large eye blunt needle
