Basic Skills Necessary:

  • colorwork, knit in the round

Pattern Description:

I grew up by the sea and loved the beach more at quiet times than busy. Low tide always brought cool things to the shore - colored foam on the water's edge, seashells and fishbones. I miss being able to smell low tide from my bedroom window, hearing the shipyard whistle and feeling the sand between my toes.

I like to incorporate things with meaning into my hat, so here are the fish bones from my childhood.
