My felted carry all bag is as versatile as it is functional.Like any good tote bag, it's roomy and sturdy enough to carry a heavy load. The main model used for this pattern is made from scraps. There are round-by round instructions for the body of the tote; row-by-row instructions for the non-circular strap parts; enormously helpful tips, suggestions, photographs, and diagrams.
I gave this bag a fat ol' booty! The fat base of this tote will ensure it doesn't tip over...hate that!

It all started when I was pregnant with kid #3. I had been using a Winnie the POO (pun intended) diaper bag for 5 years strait and the thought of lugging it around for another 3 years WAS UNBEARABLE!!! At the same time, I noticed a woman with a cute over sized bag and asked about it. When I found out how it was made, I thought, I can do that. And I did! Then all of my neighbors wanted one.
I am completely a self taught knitter. When I was an EXTREMELY BORED kid, I fashioned some needles from the dowels I pulled off of a couple of wooden coat hangers. I used an encyclopedia to learn the knit and purl stitches .
I did not touch another pair of needles again until I was 34 and needed that diaper bag. Since then, I have sold hundreds of bags, over 2,000 patterns. Although I mostly self publish, my designs have been included in bestselling books, magazines and knitting calendars.
