I love attending music festivals and often wear my wellington boots to cope with the mud in the English summer rain. I am not so keen on my welly boots rubbing against my shins when I am wearing shorts. I came up with the idea of some welly toppers that would not only look great but also protect my legs from the rubber. They are also useful in winter to provide some extra warmth when splashing in puddles.
These welly toppers are knitted from the bottom up and feature two different designs on the front and a striped rib cuff. They look great in natural yarns and make your wellies look extra special!

I love to design knitting and crochet patterns that are cute, quirky, original and fun, as well as being interesting to make and stylish. I'm inspired by the beautiful Yorkshire Pennine scenery where I live and I enjoy being surrounded by beautiful crafts in my home.
I set up Wessenden Woollies in 2011. You can follow my blog and get more information on my designs at www.wessendenwoollies.com
