Pattern Description:

This Fair Isle Tam pattern will outfit the whole family: it comes in four sizes! Photos, technique boxes, and charts are included. Learn the following techniques a you knit!

FEATURED TECHNIQUES
Double Cast On, tubular ribbing, slipping stitches, working with a color in each hand, traditional border and tam wheel patterns, centered double
decrease, and the I-Cord finish.

Gauge:

6 sts/inch in two color stockinette stitch on larger size ndls or size needed to obtain gauge.

Materials:

  • Yarn: Sport Weight yarn, approximately 2 (2, 2, 2.5) oz. of main color (MC), 1 (1, 1, 1.5) oz. of each of 3 contrasting colors (CC).
  • Needles: US sizes 2 and 4 (3.0mm and 3.5mm) 16" circular needles. One set of US size 4 (3.5mm) double pointed needles.

  • Stitch markers.
