(6) Name: 'Knitting : Eragon

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, twisted stitches, decreases, cables
  • chart reading

Pattern Description:

These fingerless gloves are named after Eragon, the dragon rider, and the cuffs are reminiscent of dragon scales, and on the back of the hand is a stylized dragon wing.

The gloves feature a fitted thumb gusset, mock-cables, and twisted cables. The mock-cables start at the cuff and runs up the side of the thumb. In addition, there is a twisted cable motif on the back of the hand.


7.5 stitches and 11 rows = 1 inch in stockinette, blocked


  • 300 yds fingering weight yarn
  • 2.5 mm [US 11/2] circular needles (or dpns)

You Will Also Need:

  • stitch marker
  • needle for sewing in ends

Suggested yarn:

300 yards of Fingering weight
