Pattern Description:
Knit a strip of connected equal-sided triangles, then fold them into a delightful hat!
An equilateral triangle has three sides of equal length. They can be fitted together in a vast number of ways to create either a flat or 3 dimensional shape. In this case we are aiming for a hat!
Gauge:
5 mm (US # 8) needles were used to achieve an approximate gauge of 5 sts/inch, but please check your gauge.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Child to Adult
Materials:
- 100 grams Worsted Weight Yarn
- 30 grams similar weight yarn for optional lining
You Will Also Need:
- The whole hat can be worked using a 40 or 50cm circular needle in the size required to achieve gauge, but you may find it easier to have an additional pair of lightweight dpns or short straight needles for working the small rows of the triangles.
