I live in London, England and am constantly inspired by the culture and fashion of this amazing city. I have always loved the feel of yarn or fabric in my hands and enjoyed creating things by hand since I was a little girl. I now look forward to teaching my own two little girls to create and follow their inspiration.
My designs are often inspired by my latest must-have yarn or small details that I notice around me. For me, the design process is all about the pleasure of knitting and I like to strike a balance of interesting vs. relaxing to knit. The most important thing though, is to create something you’ll love to wear or are proud to give as a gift. I love the idea of helping people to create something beautiful.
I am always wondering about new techniques, how to do things better and am intrigued by new ideas – curious by name and curious by nature.
Adorn yourself with this beautiful shawl to lift your spirits. Elemental Things is a semicircular shawl with two different lace patterns interspersed with sections of garter and stockinette stitch. The jaunty ruffle at the edge helps it to sit beautifully whether worn draped over your shoulders or wrapped around your neck. The lace patterns are easy to memorise making this a perfect project for beginner lace knitters.
"Our minds, as well as our bodies, have need of the out-of-doors. Our spirits, too, need simple things, elemental things, the sun
and the wind and the rain, moonlight and starlight, sunrise and mist and mossy forest trails, the perfumes of dawn and the smell of fresh-turned earth and the ancient music of wind among the trees." - Edwin Way Teale
