Pattern Description:

I love fingerless mitts, especially ones you can make quickly for a last minute present. And it was a last minute present that inspired me to this design. I had the yarn and I had made my own design mitts in different yarns, all I needed was to adapt the design. So a couple of hours later I had the present! Here it is so all can share it.
It's a simple pattern in DK yarn. Knitted straight and seamed to create the 'thumb'.
The yarn I used is called Godiva and is by The Natural Dye Studio, it is 100% merino and is gorgeous, it makes a great fabric which is soft and very warm - just right for these mitts!
The pattern uses about half a skein - but you can make these larger or smaller to suit.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approx 7.5" around and 7" long,

  • Approx 100m of double knit yarn, or more if you want them longer
  • 4.5mm knitting needles

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to sew up
