Add a touch of snowman fun to any holiday outfit by sporting my Easy Jolly Snowman Neck Scarf/Cowl, which features a needle felted snowman and festive fringes.
The scarf/cowl is a quick and easy knit and you'll find that it takes only a few minutes to add the snowman to the front corner edge. I've included a color photo tutorial on how to needle felt the snowman. All you'll need is a sense of fun and Holiday wonder, needle felting tools and mat, some additional wool yarn and roving, perhaps a bit of ribbon and some black beads for the "coal" eyes and buttons and you've got yourself a Jolly Snowman Scarf/Cowl! As written, the wearer ties the scarf behind the neck, but if you have a craft bell or holiday button in your stash, you could add that to one of the "tie" corners, use the opposite corner eyelet as a buttonhole and secure your scarf/cowl with a button.
As with all my designs, I'm here to assist and answer any questions you may have as you work up the design.
NOTE: Thank you Susan, for always being my lovely, cheerful and enthusiastic model.

I am certified as a Level 1 Master Hand Knitter by The Knitting Guild Association. My grandmother Lena taught me to knit when I was 4 years old and told me that a lifetime of knitting pleasure was her legacy to me. I love to design and knit and enter my work in competitions. I've won numerous awards and ribbons over the years and that's a lot of fun, but the greatest pleasure is the actual creative process. I specialize in Beginner and Intermediate level designs that teach new skills and promote excitement for the art that is Knitting. I think new knitters should have the opportunity to work with a well-written design that reinforces their current skills, teaches them new skills and gets a "WOW, you made that?!!?" response when showing off their completed project.
