Pattern Description:

A really quick and easy to knit baby or toddler earflap hat pattern.
The pom pom is detachable so it makes an ideal photo prop hat as well as one for every day wear.
Young children will love the pom poms attached to the strings, but you can easily omit them if this hat is for a small baby.
It can be made for a boy or a girl.
You can choose to use either super bulky/chunky weight yarn or 3 strands of double knit/light worsted/8 ply yarn. It can be knit up in one evening.
It is knit on two needles.
The pattern includes yarn suggestions and internet shops where you can buy them - both european and american, but any standard super bulky weight or double knit yarn is OK..

My patterns are written in standard uk and american terms with clear instructions and plenty of pictures to guide you.
There are tips on knitting with three strands of yarn.

Gauge:

8 to 9sts and 12 rows to 10x10cm (4"x4") square over stockinette

Materials:

1 ball (100grams) super bulky weight yarn
Pair US size 15 (10mm) needles
Stitch holder or spare needle
Darning needle or one with a large eye
20" (50cm) soft ribbon for detachable pom-pom
