I have been knitting since my early teens. I learned in a Junior High craft class. I especially enjoy knitting sweaters for family and friends. I have 2 grandchildren that are really fun to knit for.

Pattern Description:

After writing the adult pattern that is the match to this one, I was inspired to create one for my Grand daughter! It is double thickness and reversible. The colors are reversed on the opposite side. Double knitting is a challenge and fun to do. There are many You Tube videos to help with casting on and the stitches. Anyone who can knit and purl can master this skill.


16 pairs (32 stitches)/ 24 rows = 4 inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 16(18, 19) inches


  • Size 5 (3.75mm) 12"/30cm circular needle
  • 4 - Size 5 (3.75mm) double point needles
  • Stitch markers in two colors
  • Tapestry needle
