The bold geometric lines of the leaf and vine pattern used for this cozy/cowl give it an art deco feel. If women wore cowls in the 30's and 40's I imagine they might look like this one. Make this pattern in the cozy size (small/medium), shown on the last page, to fit close around your neck or make it in the cowl size (large/extra large), shown below on page two, for more drape. The stitch pattern takes on a beautiful lacey look when knit in sock weight or fingering weight yarn, (shown above in size small/medium) and is great for wearing indoors or in warmer climates. It takes a bit longer to knit, but is worth the effort!
Using worsted weight yarn and size 7 needles in K1, P1 ribbing: 6sts and 7 rows per inch.
Using sock or fingering weight yarn and size 4 needles in K1, P1 ribbing: 9sts and 9 rows per inch.

My passion is creating knitting patterns that I can share with other knitters. I love the coziness, texture and visual design of knitted fabric. If I could cover everything in the house with knitting I would, and I'm workin' on it! My husband and two teenage boys are wonderfully supportive of my knitting habit and thankfully don't mind living among lots of yarn balls and knitting books. Patterns for knitted lampshade covers, lovely throws, knitted pillow covers and of course knitted curtains are all in the works so check out my projects as I work on them and then my patterns shop to try them out yourself!
All the patterns I sell in my shop come with pattern support. Just send me an email (included in pattern) or post a comment and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have, I love to talk knitting:)
