Women, Men

Skill Level:

medium skill level requirement Intermediate

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knitting in the round, simple cable, knit

Pattern Description:

I have big hair, and lots of it. What I hate most about that are hats that squish it down, the result - triangle hair. With that in mind I designed this hat to be loose enough not to flatten the life out of it, but also one that stays on my head. Another problem that us big haired beings suffer from is the tendency some hats have to pop off the top of our heads after about 2 minutes of being there. A ribbed edging was out of the question. After a few experiments I was happy with a very simple cable that is subtle, soft on the forehead and does the job I want it to do.

14 sts and 18 rows = 4 inches in st st.
