I am a life long knitter, starting when about 10 years old. I've left the art at times, but returned in earnest about 13 years ago - with the birth of my first and only grandchild. I have a small family, one daughter and one granddaughter - who are "sweatered-out" as I say and aren't really interested in what I can create for them. Nor are they interested in learning how to knit.
I've recently fallen in love with designing and am thrilled to offer my patterns for others to use. Enjoy the patterns and feel free to post comments! I love reading them
Inspired by the sweet kitchen maid on the PBS Masterpiece Theater, Downton Abbey, Daisy. This is all garter stitch, worked side to side, short row ruffled scarf with Yarn Over Daisies all over, that is easy to knit. Don't be afraid of trying the short rows used to created the ruffled ends of the scarf! They are really easy and once you get the hang of it, you'll be delighted with how the finished ends look!
I used yarn from Jo-Ann's but any fingering weight yarn will do! Choose your color and get it going!
Not important, but using larger needles and/or larger yarn can impact amount of yarn needed.
