I am one of pair of two goofy gals that own Your Local Yarn Shop in Battle Creek Michigan. I have designed for a small company named KalamazooKnits and have just become its owner after many years of support. KalamazooKnits provides sound basic knitting patterns for the beginner knitter and a "go to" for the experienced one. I also started KellyJKnits as a way to be more creative and design "whatever strikes my fancy"! My philosophy is knitting doesn't need to be complicated for it to be fantastic!View all patterns by designer (6) »
As a owner of a yarn shop, Your Local Yarn Shop, in Battle Creek and a mother of 4, I am always looking for projects that provide easy opportunity to grow knitting skills without frustration.
I design things that look complicated but are really very easy. This cowl is double layered and has the look of double knitting, but is simply just a wide circle folded in half! The color-work also looks complicated but there is no carrying of yarns and is achieved by simply slipping sts!
Try it and I know you'll enjoy the Crossing the Lines Cowl.
