Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, increase/decrease

Pattern Description:

A lightweight unisex lace scarf in two sizes (S/L), featuring an allover zigzag motif for textural contrast. Delicate and airy in fine yarn, this scarf could also be knit on larger needles with heavier yarn for extra warmth with a bolder look. The easy to knit pattern with wrong-side rest rows makes an excellent first lace project and a great traveling companion.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size.

Gauge:

28 sts and 40 rows = 4 inches in stockinette (unblocked; fabric will be relaxed)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 9(12) inches wide and 48(60) inches long (blocked and stretched)

Materials:

  • 350(600) yards of any smooth laceweight yarn which has approximately 200 yards per ounce
  • size 3US (3.25 mm) needle or size to obtain correct gauge

Suggested yarn:

600 yards of Lace weight
