Pattern Description:

A delicate lacework cowl that is a fun, interesting, and quick knit. I have adapted an old lace pattern to be worked in the round, and create a surprisingly warm cowl for the winter months.

Written instructions only - no charts.

Any DK yarn would look great in this pattern. It is knit in the round on 4.5mm circular needles.

The finished cowl weighs 49g so you may feel safer buying a 100g ball of yarn rather than just 50g!

I have measured the gauge for this cowl, although as it is not a fitted item it is not really that important.

Gauge:

12 stitches and 14 rows = 2 inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished cowl weighs 49g.
  • Finished size approx. 20" (51cm) circumference, 8 and half" (22cm) high after blocking.

Materials:

  • 4.5mm circular knitting needles
  • 50g DK yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Stitch marker
  • Darning needle

Suggested yarn:

160 yards of DK weight
