Basic Skills Necessary:

  • basic knowledge of cables
  • i-cord

Pattern Description:

Go west! This low-slung cabled belt is a great introduction to more complex cables. Stitch count remains the same throughout, so you can focus on mastering the cable technique. A slip stitch selvedge provides a tidy, unobtrusive edge. To secure, the belt laces down through i-cord loops attached separately to the cast-on and bind-off edges of the cable.

Gauge:

17 sts and 26 rows = 4" in Stockinette Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Hip: XS(34-36)", S(37-39)", M(40-42)", L(43-45)", XL(46-48)"

Materials:

  • 240 yds Berroco Suede (worsted weight, 100% nylon)
  • Size 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles
  • Set of two size 7 (4.5 mm) double-pointed needles
  • Cable needle
