Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Lace knitting, using markers, double increases. If using Magic Toe Garter Tab method (optional cast-on), experience with magic loop and Judy's magic toe cast-on is recommended.

Pattern Description:

Cork Street Shawl features columns of garter stitch and eyelets, increasing in such a way that the shawl grows into a heart shape. The edge is weighted with a wide ribbed frill. As a result, the shawl hugs the shoulders: It is easy to wear and position with your favorite broach or shawl pin. And the design is completely reversible, too!


This project can be worked with any weight yarn; Go up a full millimeter in size of the suggested needle on the ball band.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sample is 62" tip to tip and 24" high.


  • 750 yards of sport weight yarn, shown here using 3 skeins Americo Baby Suri (80% suri alpaca, 20% wool)
  • 4mm 80cm circular knitting needle
  • markers
  • wool needle
