My mum taught me to knit when I was 5 - I have early memories of sitting with a skein around my wrists while she wound it into a ball. I had a big imagination though and I suppose got interested in other things until I was older. When I was 21, I found myself at a houseparty, and one of the girls there had a bag of knitting. I thought it was so cool, I made her remind me there and then, and since that evening Ive been hooked. I love the whole process of buying a ball of yarn and turning it into a beautiful garment.
Ive been blogging since 2008 about life, art and things I have been making and selling, and I have been designing for the last couple of years. I trained in pattern cutting and dressmaking and found that the skills I learnt developed into an urge to design knitwear.
Im currently putting patterns together my first book, some of which you can buy here or on my website. I also have a Ravelry group where people can share pictures of my designs, I would love for you to join!

Constantine is a cosy, cabled worsted weight hat that is so super soft and snuggly. The cable pattern is fun and a nice introduction to those of you not so familiar with it.
I have hidden the decreases in the cables so the pattern flows freely all the way up to the top, and the hat is completed with a fun pompom.
18 sts and 26 rows per 10cm/4" in stocking stitch, knit flat on 5mm (US8) needles
250 yards of Worsted weight
