Basic Skills Necessary:

  • understanding of cabling
  • ability to work yo's and k2tog

Pattern Description:

this cowl/scarf is knit flat and has a natural inclination to bias; if making the cowl, block flat and then stitch the ends together from the WS
this cowl/scarf is completely reversible
the first and last 3 sts are a knitted on i-cord -- this gives the edges a professional, finished look.

Gauge:

12sts x 20rows = 4" stockinette -- note, the cable pattern (completely reversible) pulls in the sts ... make sure you achieve gauge to obtain the drape of these "heavy" cables.

  • US #10 (either straights or circs)
  • Cable needle or dpn to hold sts for cabling
