Basic Skills Necessary:

  • do stranded knitting with at most two colors in the round

Pattern Description:

I knitted this beanie for my coffee loving sister.
Hopefully the Gilmore Girls and any other caffeine addict will also love it!

I used 4-ply sock yarn.
Alternatively you can use 4-ply Acrylic or Merino yarn.

Note: there are coffee beans and various coffee cups/glasses all around this beanie.
At the top there are also coffee beans.

Knitting gauge: 1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • about 54 to 56 cm head circumreference


  • 30 g of beige 4-ply sock yarn, 40 g of off-white 4-ply sock yarn, 40 g of chocolate brown 4-ply sock yarn, 15 g of red sock yarn (I used Buttinette Sckli sock yarn).
  • Circular needle 40 cm 3.00 mm and 5 double pointed needles size 3.00 mm for the top of the head.

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight
