About the designer

I've been crafting since forever, knitting fanatically since about 2006 and designing since 2008. When not knitting, I teach university students about primates and play with my horses.

Coast Starlight Shawl

from Verybusymonkey Designs
(6) Name: 'Knitting : Coast Starlight Shawl
Coast Starlight Shawl
Coast Starlight Shawl

Pattern Description:

Named after the train that runs from Portland, OR to Seattle, WA on which I finished this shawl.

Shawl is worked from the center out in three garter stitch "wedges", the lacy border is worked sideways, joining the body of the shawl as you go. Worked entirely in one piece, with no seaming necessary!

You are going to need approximately half of your yardage (skein) to work the edging, so keep this in mind if you're a loose knitter or are short on yardage.

Pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
