Pattern Description:

Last spring I stood on the bluff at Cloudland Canyon and watched the thunderheads billowing in the updrafts. It was tornado season and after the crazy twisters of spring 2011 I had my eye to the sky. I could feel the cool mist from the updrafts cutting through the warm, humid air and they were blowing the lightest strands of hair from my face as effortlessly as they threw cabling strands of cumulus heavenwards. I thought of spiraling cables, but they proved too binding, so I came up with this lace pattern that looks like cables. These gloves look great inside out as well. Finish carefully and get two pair for the price of one.

Gauge:

28 sts/40 rnds over 4 inches in stockinette, 36 sts/ 40 rnds in pattern.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

9 1/4 inches long, 7 inches around, stretches to 9.
